Are Mógū Mushrooms products organic and natural?
Yes, all of Mógū’s products are 100% organic, natural, and vegan, ensuring purity and potency without additives or fillers.
What other ingredients are in Mógū's mushroom extracts?
Mógū's extracts consist of 100% pure mushrooms! There are absolutely NO additives or fillers within any of the mushroom extract products. The only ingredient within each extract tin is the mushroom(s) listed on the front of the label - that’s it!
Are Mógū's mushroom extracts a coffee, matcha, or tea?
None of the above - Mógū's extracts consist of 100% pure mushrooms! Not only do you get more “bang for your buck” with Mógū's pure extracts in comparison to coffee or tea blends, you also have the added flexibility of adding Mógū's extracts to almost any drink, food, or dessert you want! Add to your existing favorite coffee, matcha, or tea - OR get creative and add to smoothies, acaí bowls, oatmeal, pancakes, soups, veggies, cupcakes . . . the list goes on and on!

What are functional mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms are varieties of fungi known for their potential health benefits beyond basic nutrition. These mushrooms, such as Reishi, Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, and Chaga, are often used in traditional medicine for their adaptogenic, immune-boosting, cognitive-enhancing, and anti-inflammatory properties, among other many other benefits! They are typically consumed in the form of extracts, powders, or supplements to support overall wellness.
When is the best time to drink Mógū extracts?
There are no firm rules around when to drink our extracts since all of Mógū’s extracts are caffeine-free. Cordyceps does tend to provide a potent natural energy boost, so it is often better suited in the morning or before a workout. Reishi is wonderful to have before bed to promote a restful sleep, but it is not a sedative (non-drowsy) and can be enjoyed in the mornings as well.
Can I mix the Mushrooms?
Yes! We strongly encourage mixing! Each mushroom offers a different benefit and they actually work synergistically so it's a fantastic way to maximize the results.
How should I take Mógū’s extracts?
You can mix Mógū extracts into almost any type of drink, smoothie, food, or dessert! Avoid cooking above 363°F or 189°C to preserve the mushroom’s beneficial compounds. For best results, we recommend 2.5 - 5 grams per dosage (about one teaspoon). Please see the Dosing Schedule (below) for optimal results.
How often should I take the extracts? (DOSING SCHEDULE)
For best results, take 2.5 grams per day, optimal dosage is 5 grams (about 1 teaspoon) per day at the dosing schedule below.
Choose Your Own Mushroom Dosing Schedule
After the initial two weeks, to maintain the adaptogenic effects of these mushrooms and prevent tolerance buildup, we recommend cycling your intake using one of the following dosing schedules:
- Weekdays on, weekends off (Recommended)
- Every other day (every 2 days)
- 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Why is it recommended to take vitamin C with the extracts?
Studies have shown that vitamin C significantly improves the absorption of the ingredients in medicinal mushroom extracts.
How long does it usually take to feel the effects?
Each person may experience the effects differently but consistency is always key. Please follow one of the scheduling options as discussed in Question “How often should I take the extracts? (DOSING SCHEDULE)” for optimal effects. Cordyceps, Reishi and Lion’s Mane tend to act quite quickly. Often, people notice the results within the first few weeks (or even upon the first use).
Do Mógū extracts break your fast?
Mógū mushroom extracts are 100% pure mushroom material. As long as you are drinking them on their own (with water or black coffee), they do not break your fast. Our mushroom extracts also support various diets as they are vegan, keto-friendly, carnivore-friendly, and omnivore-friendly.
Can Mógū help increase my energy levels?
Cordyceps and Chaga are excellent options to support natural energy levels without any caffeine. In fact, you can entirely substitute coffee and pre-workouts with Cordyceps alone, due to its ability to rapidly increase ATP production. For additional information on Cordyceps, click here.
